Weekly Photo Challenge : Descent

Separated by “descent”, united by love 🙂

Our nationality is not our choice, but our mannerisms definitely are. I simply love watching these students from different countries prepare for the annual city parade together, fixing costumes, learning about different cultures, celebrating their togetherness, and you can often find a Russian trying a few steps of Bhangra or  a Sri Lankan learning some Scottish Country Dance moves. Yes they hold their flags proudly, identify themselves as Indian, Chinese, Dutch and so on,  march along side their own groups , but the groups are always open and welcoming and by the end of the parade, the borders sublime.
